Crew Role

Candidate Name
Justification

Director of Photography

Kundai Machaka
In my personal opinion I feel that Kundai is the rightful candidate for this very particular role. Through her CV she has reflected that she acquires an artistic vision, creativity, attention to fine points, obtaining a decent colour vision, and most of all acquiring exceptional communication skills. This is a trait that most DoP’s should achieve and Kundai has projected it to us just by the appearance of her CV. In addition to this, she has claimed to have some experience with cameras; which is always an impressive plus point.

Production Assistant

Josh Bateman
I elected Josh for this role as he claims that he has been a runner in films like James Cameron’s Avatar, his experience gains him the extra point in order to take over this role. In addition to this, he has his own car including business insurance and can navigate a mini bus or a van. If anything goes wrong, having a back-up plan can always be handy.  His other relevant experiences reflects capability of being an effective production runner in my crew.

Sound Recordist

Rhys Painter
I selected Rhys for this role as he also acquired the relevant skills outside of sound recording, for instance, navigating a camera and obtaining the relevant knowledge on shot sizes, angles, framing and composition shots. What made him stand out for this particular role was that he created his own music promo video, which no one else did; and during this process he discovered some basic editing skills, cutting, sounds track and transitions. This gained him the rights in order to take this role as he had some active experiences which is essential for this role.

Make- Up/ Hair Artist

Yasmin Ally
The reason why I elected Yasmin for this particular role is because she is determined to gain as much experience through the role of a Runner, and her dedication to do extra hours in order to get the job done automatically gives her the credit. Despite the fact that she is quite amateur at running, she acquires the basic knowledge on camera skills, cutting & editing, transition and tiles. Her experience in editing software is also quite impressive for an inexperienced running. Yasmin is states that she can co-operate in teams, familiar to Microsoft Word & PowerPoint, and comfortable to work independently as well. On the whole I feel that the quality she acquires is very much compatible for this role.

Special Effects Crew

Kieran Falzon
Kieran is certainly a good match for this role as he obtains the right experience and quality. He has been educated on post-production, editing, iMovie editing software, and sound.
